Hey dudes...

So last week sometime, after reading the WHA forums, I got a serious case of Nostalgia and decided to pick up WAR again. Since I started playing, I once again feel like war can be a great game if played right, and I indend to play it until the release of its 40k counterpart.

Like I said, this is not a revival thread, im not looking to bolster the ranks again ( although I wouldnt mind the company ).
I rolled a new destro char on Azgal, for the simple fact that iv experienced most of what the game has to offer for Order, and to play through the ranks nice and slow. The rest, like Land of the Dead, is common ground between factions.

Theres is now a t1 dungeon, for which I struggled 3 days getting groups to run and complete it with mainly due to idiocy. Eventually I figured that if I intend to play slowly and have to put up with shit like this all the while, my heart wont be able to handle the blood pressure.

Therefore I started an ingame guild yesterday, to group with players who are not retarded. I also spent a few hours today setting up free forums.

The reason I did that is because I didnt want to go through the whole debacle of will they be allowed on the forums, and this ones app sucked, and wev really lowered our standards and bla bla bla.

Heres the point:
I have yet to make a donation, eventhough iv been a member for quite some time. And I do apologise for this, however I genuinely am broke 90% of the time. I would like permission to use the vent for the Warhammer purposes mentioned above. It wont be a lot of people, for now 2 - 3 at most including myself.

Eventually I will make a donation, as others already have. Ofcourse, there will be no hard feelings to any objections.

Ah yes, WAR... the game wasnt that bad in general. But failed in class balancing too much. As far as I know, nothing changed with that (I was tempted to return when we quit WAR). Pity

It especially failed in server stability in the big & important battles.

That's what made me quit, not the classes.


Either way, don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to get a vent channel.

I might join you sometime if I ever get my ports sorted for WAR (the website to submit requests is permanently down it seems). But I fear with the endless stream of awesome games being released in the coming months, my nostalgia for WAR may be overshadowed by promises of the future.

Luckily, I didnt suffer with crashes in MMOs. Not in WAR, not Aion...

Well I could have joined but I just hate destro toooooo much.

Isnt there an 'unlimited' free trial going on that just limits character levels? Might be worth looking at if anyone wanted to get back into it casually.

No crashes for me either in WAR, only once in a while.

It was the terrible lag and frozen screens.

Ye, you can play it forever, but level is still capped at 10. You will get bored of it in 3 days

Old players have been spending loads of money equipping trial accounts with seriaaas gear for the lols. Tier 1 characters running around with 6 - 8 +127 armour talismans / +17 WP/STR/Ballistic etc etc.

Now DoK's and Warrior Priests don't die in t1 either

hehe I had a low lvl char like that aswell
kinda fun to have such a powerfull low lvl.

if a choppa was strong before, it certainly is after that
its crazy how fast u cut people down.

Only cool thing about Warhammer Online at the moment is that you get free access to Dark Age of Camelot

So far I have managed to recruit 11 people who arent idiots \0/
