I guess that with the end of the beta some of u people already know if you want to play Aion or not. Flame your impressions here pls, for consideration.

I have to say the world, the graphics, performance, music. Really sets the atmosphere in this game. I experienced no lag at all with everything on x8 AA. Aion is a new breeze in the mmogenre that's set a new standard in features and performance. No it's not like it's entirely new mmo, but it has everything you want in an mmo, Plus it's polished. In my entire experience i have never played an mmo that runs that great in a closed beta and even on lower end machines.

The game is fully completed and that's how every mmo should be at launch. I havent tested out RvR aspect from the game, but judging from the many video's i have seen it's gonna be awesome. Is this a grindy mmo?, Imo every mmo has a certain grind, Aion will have it to in the end, but there will be loads of quests you can do, so you wont even notice:). Also iif you wanna make stuff, you'll need to grind materials. But the gathering skill in aion is daamn nice(even the animation). You dont need a pickaxe,woodcutting axe and all the other stuff. You have one gathering skill to gather all those materials. To me that's a very impressive, it saves a lot of time. You just find a fruit tree, ore, herbs boom and you got it. You can even morph stuff into a certain material ya need. Man there are so many things you can do crafting wise. All i can say, crafting will require some effort. But if you like it, you are gonna enjoy it.

I think classes are balanced, some might need some more tweaking for the initial launch. But every class has it's own playstyle. It's Skill that sets the standard. Like a Templar is a Hp machine, He is quite weak against ranged classes. But he is a pain in the ass to get down.

if you are a former L2 player you are gonna find a lot of similarities in both games. But aion is a mixture of both western type mmo's and asian type mmo's. I think, aion will be a major hit in europe for those who like asian animation styled mmo with european influences. Many are waiting from something fresh. Ncsoft really made a great mmo. But one warning remains: The way the game is designed, it will cater for botters etc. Goldselling, botting is something i hate. It ruins a game and players leave. Trading real money for ingame is kinda stupid. It saves time indeed, im not a fan of it. But yah i know some will do it, i blame wow hehe. When a fruitvendor sells his fruit, he will also have to wait until he makes profit. After a few weeks he will be able to buy new merchandise. Instant gratification is what most pple want, Now now. If you wait and make something with the things you farmed. You are gonna feel satisfied that you did it. But this way of thinking has been totally pushed into ground by games like wow,l2 where goldbuying has become a standard.

So if Ncsoft doesnt do anything about it, the game could die a slow death, just like L2 did. If they act highly against botting, this game's economy will flourish and it will only grow larger.


Also lindonin if you know a lot of pple that are gonna try it, we could talk about an alliance in Aion also. Bringing together smaller legions could be nice.

I think it's safe to say, that SD loves AION
Alot of us already can't wait for Aion's release.
I fo one, even orderd CE Aion and will wait for it to ship to Canada

Im a sceptic tho. Everyone say that the performace is great. Could you compare it to WAR? If Aion runs better than WAR, then... WoW
About the gameplay itself: Move to the first line, heh.

Aion runs way better then WAR. Its about on the same level as WoW.
Can run it on 95% of current machines. With decent graphics.

It's the best game I have played since Dark age of Camelot. And I don't say that becaue Aion is new and fresh.
The group PvP is loads of fun. Even if it's just in the Arena. The Abyss group PvP is going to rock!

I can two box 2 clients on the same laptop. 1 on full settings and one on half.
At home I use 2 computers though
But it is an extremely stable game.. If you load into an area with 300 people waiting for you. It is as smooth as if 10 people where waiting for you.

That was a special moment for me.

I checked on wikipedia - the release is dated September 24. Guess it wont be much of a problem if I decide to enroll by that time.

What I like about this game is that there are3 factions and thus more options for diplomacy.
